Alyeska Masters Membership

What does Alyeska Masters membership get you?

Two words- diplomatic immunity.

No , not quite, but it does offer quite a few tangible benefits for only $235.  Some highlights include:

  • Race coaching.  The Masters schedule is packed with training days, starting with group free skiing/drills in the early season and progressing to GS/SL gate training.  Our staff of somewhat scruffy but otherwise completely serviceable coaches will help you improve your times and overall skiing.

  • Use of the Race Training Center (RTC).  Even on non-race days, this facility provides a great base camp.  A portion ($50) of your membership fees goes to maintaining this building, which we can all agree is a serious perk of association with the Alyeska Ski Club. Other ski clubs envy us.

  • Admission to the Year End Banquet for the member and a guest.  This is how a ski season should end- with adult beverages and copious amounts of food, surrounded by a group of like-minded individuals.

If you do the math, this is most likely the best deal on the hill.  Not only do you get to become a better skier and racer, but you get to hang out with the spandex-wearing "cool kids" at Alyeska.

Now you may be saying to yourself, "I don't want to race, but I sure would like all of the non-racing benefits of membership."  Well, as it turns out, we have an option for you as well. This year we have created a $99.99 Social Membership which has a few perks as well:

  • Use of the Race training Center (RTC). $50 of the fee is a RTC use fee, allowing you to use the building anytime that it's open. This money goes to maintaining our world-class facility.

  • Invitations to Alyeska Masters social events such as race parties and potlucks, with all of the Alaskan Brewing beer and wine that come with them.

  • A Year-End Banquet invitation for one.  Our awards banquet is always a good time, and a great way to say goodbye to the season and hello to spring.

  • One day of instruction on a training day of your choice.   Maybe you'd like to dip your toes into the world of ski racing and see how it feels to run the gates. This is your chance.

I'd say this is the second-best deal on the mountain. You can even wear spandex if you want to- your choice. See our Program Director, Roxann Therrien, for more information.
